Give an example of a rule describing the pattern for a sequence. Then write the terms of the sequence for your rule

    Let the nth term of a sequence be 4n + 1 where n is the sequence number of the term with n starting as 1.

    The sequence would then be

    4 (1) + 1, 4 (2) + 1 and so on ...

    = 5, 9, 13, 17 ...
