What does it mean for a product of factors to be expressed using exponents?

A product factor exponent is the expression in where you repeatedly multiply the same number over and over again.

For example:

=> 3 x 3 x 3 x 3 x 3

=> 5 x 5 x 5

=> 10 x 10

The problem in this expression is that when there are a lot of numbers to be multiplied, it will be hassle to write it all down. Here comes the exponential way of making it simple.

Exponent refers to expression in which you only need a base and an exponent.

For example:

=> instead of 5 x 5 x 5, you write 5 3

=> instead of 10 x 10, you write 102.
