    If you meant to write ax^n, then yes this is a polynomial as long as n is a positive whole number.

    Something like 2x^3 is a polynomial but other things like 7x^ (1.5) or 3x^ (-5) are not polynomials.

    The value of 'a' does not determine if ax^n is a polynomial or not.
