    Use the sin function to solve for the central angle.

    Chord length = 2Rsin (c/2)

    where

    chord length = 4.5 feet

    radius = 5 feet

    C = central angle

    Rearrange the formula to get the central angle and substitute all the given values

    Central angle = 53.49 degrees
