    You can solve for the x intercepts by setting the value of y to 0 and solving for x.

    The equation would be reduced to:

    4x^2 - 12 = 0

    Solving for x:

    x^2 = 12/4

    x^2 = 3

    x = sqrt (3), x = - sqrt (3)

    The x intercepts are positive and negative square root of 3.
