    The first step would be to subtract 9v from + 6 then your equation would look like this:

    3v=6

    you aren't finished, though, you still have to isolate v so you divide 3 off of v because you do the inverse operation of whatever it is since 3v is multiplication you divide it so:

    3/3v=6/3
