    The answer is 47 DVDs total he rent in one year.

    Explanation:

    25+1.5v=95.50

    1.5v = 75.5

    v = 47

    (In this case, v stands for how many DVDs a year he rent)

    47 DVD's

    Step-by-step explanation:

    95.50 - 25 = 70.50

    70.50/1.50 = 47

    He rented 47 dvd's with $70.50

    If it had been just 10cent less we cannot round down with money it would have shown just 0.07 less. But if the question asked how many could he buy and it was 10 cents less showing decimal tenth of 0.07 we would have to say he could only buy 46 dvd's. The answer is however 47.
