    Volume of the can:

    V = B · h

    The area of the base of both cans is 5 cm²

    For the regular can:

    40 cm³ = 5 cm² · h

    h = 40 : 5

    h = 8 cm

    The tall can has the height: h = 8 cm + 2 cm = 10 cm.

    V t = 5 cm² · 10 cm = 50 cm³

    Answer: The volume of the tall soup can is 50 cm³
