Five times the first of three consecutive even integers is fourteen more than three times the second. What is the third consecutive integer?

3. 5n = 3 (n+2) + 14 where n is the first number, n+2 is the second and n+4 is the third. Solve for n and then find n+4.

    5n = 3n + 6 + 14 n+4 2n = 20 10+4 n = 10 14
