A flagpole cast a shadow 10 ft long. a girlstanding next to the flagpole cast a shadow 2.5 ft long. if the girl is 5 ft tall, how tall is the flagpole?

    So in order to do this we have to take 10 ft and 2.5 ft and multiply it. We can simplify this down to 4 and 1. We can remove the 1 and we are left with 4. Multiply the height of the girl by 4 and we get 20. Therefore the flagpole is 20 ft tall.
