To make one costumne, rachel uses 6 yards of material and 3 yards of trim. Suppose she uses a total of 48 yards of material to make several costumns. How many yards of trim does she use? Write the rule you used to find the number of yards of trim.

    16 yards because you divide 3 into 48

    Well 48 divided by 6 is 8 and for every 6 yards of material there is 3 yards of trim. There is 8 groups of 6 yards so 8 times 3 is 24 so you used 24 yards of trim.
