A 3m ladder stands on horizontal ground and reaches 2.8 m up a vertical wall. how far is the foot of the ladder from the base of the wall? round your answer to the nearest hundredth.

    1.08 m. is the answer because you would use the pythagorean theorem to solve it.

    2.8^2+b^2=3^2

    7.84+b^2=9

    b^2=9-7.84

    square root of b^2=square root of 1.16

    b=1.08
