3.1 cups of coffee x 365 days in a year equals 1131.5 cups of coffee per year. Multiply that by 9 to find out how many ounces are drank each year and you get 10183.5. Now divide that number by 256 to find out how many pounds of coffee are needed and you have 39.78 which rounded up is 40 pounds. So the answer is 40 lbs.
