If two angles are complementary and congruent, what are the measurements of each angle?

    Complementary means x+y=90 where x and y are not negative

    congruent means equal measure

    x+y=90

    x=y

    subsitute

    x+x=90

    2x=90

    divide by 2

    x=45

    y=45

    each angle is 45 degrees
