a nickel is about 1.95 mm thick
1 mm = 0.0393701 inches
0.0393701/12 = 25.39998 nickels per inch round to 25.4
25.4 x 12 = 304.8 nickels per foot,
round off to 305
305 x 0.05 = 15.25
a foot of nickels is worth approximately $15.25
