    With this information we know that in slope-intercept form that the equation will at least look like this.

    y = - 2x + b.

    But we have to look for b. In order to do this we are going to have to plug in (5,3) into the x and y values.

    3 = - 2 (5) + b

    3 = (-10) + b

    13 = b

    We then put this b value into the slope intercept formula.

    y = - 2x + 13 < this is your final answer
