    128=2⁷

    2^2a x 2^2a=2⁷

    2^ (2a+2a) = 2⁷

    2^4a=2⁷

    Therefore:

    4a=7

    a=7/4

    a=1.75

    Answer: a=1.75

    To check

    (⁷/⁴) * 2² (⁷/⁴) = 2⁷/² * 2⁷/²=2¹⁴/²=2⁷=128
