A Taxi-cab company charges a flat rate of $1.75 plus $0.75 per mile. Jack has no more than $10 to spend on his cab ride.

    Rate for 1 mile is 1.75$+0.75$=2.50$

    Jack has 10 $ to spend

    when 2.50$ for 1 mile

    so 10 $ for 10/2.50=4 mile he can travel
