Which type of sequence does this situation represent?

The situation represents a geometric sequence because the successive y-values have a common ratio of 6.

The situation represents an arithmetic sequence because the successive y-values have a common difference of 6.

On his first day Emanuel wrote 10 pages. On next days he wrote 16 more pages as compared to the last days.

So, the sequences of the pages he wrote will be

    10, 26, 42, ...

Since the difference between two consecutive terms of this sequence is the same, the sequence is an AP with a common difference of 16.

So, the correct answer is 3rd Option:

The situation represents an arithmetic sequence because the successive y-values have a common difference of 16
