    The answer is C. 33

    3 * (-2) ⁿ⁻¹

    n = 1; 3 * (-2) ¹⁻¹ = 3 * (-2) ⁰ = 3 * 1 = 3

    n = 2; 3 * (-2) ²⁻¹ = 3 * (-2) ¹ = 3 * (-2) = - 6

    n = 3; 3 * (-2) ³⁻¹ = 3 * (-2) ² = 3 * 4 = 12

    n = 4; 3 * (-2) ⁴⁻¹ = 3 * (-2) ³ = 3 * (-8) = - 24

    n = 5; 3 * (-2) ⁵⁻¹ = 3 * (-2) ⁴ = 3 * 16 = 48

    The sum is:

    3 + (-6) + 12 + (-24) + 48 = 3 - 6 + 12 - 24 + 48 = 33
