The number of fish in a lake deceased by 25% between last year and this year. Last year there were 60 fish in the lake. What is the population this year?

    The population decreased by 25% which means there is 75% of the population left (100% - 25% = 75%)

    Multiply last years population by 75%:

    60 x 0.75 = 45 fish this year.
