Solving systems of equations by substitution y=7x-10. y=-3

    1.) Substitute negative 3 in for y

    (-3) = 7x - 10

    2.) Add ten to either side

    -3 + 10 = 7x - 10 + 10

    3.) Simplify

    7 = 7x

    4.) Divide by seven on either side

    Your answers are x = 1 and y = - 3
