Remember you can do anything to an equaiton as long as you do it to both sides
3-2 (2x-3) = 17
minus 3 from both sides
3-3-2 (2x-3) = 17-3
-2 (2x-3) = 14
divide both sides by - 2
2x-3=-7
add 3 to both sides
2x+3-3=3-7
2x=-4
divide both sides by 2
x=-2
