Well to find the volume of a sphere you use the equation V=4/3 x pi x r^3. the "V" stands for volume and the "r" stands for the radius of whatever you are measuring the volume of. since you are given a diameter, all you have to do to find the radius is divide the diameter by two. Then you plug that number into the equation. So it becomes V=4/3 x 3.14 (the number you are told to use for pi) x 1.75^3. if you plug that into a calculator you get 22.4379166667. You would repeat that same process for the second softball, and subtract them to find the difference in the volume. Which is approximately 6.27843. Rounded to the nearest tenth would be 6.3 cubic inches^2
