Billy stacked six pieces of wood on top of one another. If each piece was three-quarters of a foot tall, how tall was his pile?

    each piece is 0.75 feet (3/4 of a foot) and there are six pieces

    multiply 0.75 by six

    =4.5feet

    therefore his pile was 4.5 feet tall
