The internet was used by 30% of the population of a state in 2008. If 3200 people were surveyed, how many in the survey were using the internet in 2008?

    Since 30% of people were using the internet, 0.30*3200 is our answer.

    3200*0.30 = 960.

    Therefore 960 people were using the internet out of the 3200 surveyed.
