Mika can eat 21 hotdogs in six minutes. She wants to know how many minutes it would take her to eat 35 hotdogs if she can keep up the same pace.

    Write a proportion:

    1. 21 hot dogs / 6 minutes = 35 hot dogs / m minutes

    2. m (21) = 35 (6)

    3. 21m = 210

    4. m = 210/21

    5. m = 10

    Therefore, Mika would need 10 minutes to eat 35 hot dogs.
