Fourteen students are surveyed about the books they read. Four students read only science fiction books. Three students read only fantasy books. Five students do not read science fiction or fantasy. How many students read both science fiction and fantasy?

    Subtract

    14 - 4 = 10

    10 - 5 = 5

    5 - 3 = 2

    2 students read both science fiction and fantasy books

    Well sine you know that 9 students already read something 14-12=2 so only 2 students read both.
