3x + 6x^2

Is this a third-degree polynomial in standard form?

    No. For it to be in standard form the term with the largest exponent comes first. Standard form would be 6x^2-3x. It is a second degree polynomial because 6x is raised to the 2nd power. It would be a third degree polynomial if the largest degree was raised to the 3rd power.
