You buy 6 apples for $2.70. Write an equation that can be used to express the relationship between the total price t and the number of apples a you buy.

    Each Apple is worth 2.70. We'll use C as total cost, and a for number of apples.

    C = 2.7 (a)

    We add 2.7 to the cost for every Apple, but multiplication is also repeated addition at its basics, so this is the simpler answer.
