a scientist has a bottle that is 5/8 full of solution. he used 2/5 of the solution in the bottle for an experiment. how much of a full bottle of solution does he use?

    So first you wanna find a common denominator so 2/5 and there's 5/8 so 8•5 is 40 so multiple 2 by 8 which is 16 and 5 by 5 which is 25 so you have 16/40 and 25/40 and the full bottle would be 40/40 so he used 16/40 of the solution
