At a large university, the probability that a student takes calculus and is on the dean's list is 0.042. the probability that the student is on the deans list is 0.21. Find the probability that the student is taking calculus, given that he or she is on the deans list.

    As this is probability, we can use the next formulas and tell how is this going to be:

    P (A) = student on the dean's list

    P (B) = student taking calculus

    P (A n B) = 0.042

    P (A) = 0.21

    So, P (B) = 0.042/0.21

    = 0.2

    So the probability here is of 0.2
