A company had a competition to see which team could load trucks at the loading dock the fastest. On day one, team one loaded 51⁄2 trucks. The leader of team three said her team could load 31⁄2 times that number when it was their turn to participate. How many trucks does that team expect to load? A. 161⁄2 B. 8 C. 171⁄2 D. 191⁄4

    1) 5 1/2 = 5.5

    3 1/2 = 3.5

    2) 5.5 X 3.5 = 19.25

    3) 19.25 = 19 1/4

    Therefore, the answer is D.

    Team three expects to load 19 1/4 trucks.
