    The area of the regular hexagon (A) is equal to 6 areas of equilateral triangles (A1):

    A = 6A1

    A1 = √3 * a²/4

    A = 6√3 * a²/4

    We know that a = 20 in.

    Therefore:

    A = 6√3 * 20²/4 = 6√3 * 400/4 = 600√3 ≈ 1,038 in²
