What is the multiple zero and multiplicity of f (x) = x3+2x2+2

    "What are the roots of the polynomial and their multiplicity ... "

    x3+2x2+x = x (x2+2x+1) = x (x+1) (x+1) or x (x+1) 2

    The roots are x = 0, multiplicity 1

    x = - 1, multiplicity 2
