What is the value of y in the equation 2 (3y - 4) = 10?

    2 (3y - 4) = 10

    6y - 8 = 10

    +8 + 8

    10+8 = 18

    6y = 18

    6y/6 = 18/6

    y = 3

    Answer: y = 3
