It will take the worm 7 days to get to the top of the well.

    Step-by-step explanation:

the well is 37 feet deep

the worm climbs up 7 feet, but loses 2 feet through the night

That means the worm only really climbs 5 feet a day.

So, if you subtract 5 from 37, 6 times, you'll get 7 feet left to go. And sense the worm climbs 7 feet a day, the last day the worm will climb his way to the top without slipping back down.

    Hopefully this makes sense.
