Raymond has 120 books on his bookshelf that he has not read. He plans on reading 3 books per week until there are only 24 books that he still needs to read. Which equation can be used to determine the number of weeks, w, it will take Raymond to have only 24 books left, and how many weeks will it take?

120 - 3w = 24; 32 weeks

3w - 24 = 120; 48 weeks

24w = 120 - 3; 4 weeks

24w - 3 = 120; 5 weeks

    It would take Raymond 32 weeks to get to 24 books left so the equation would be 120 - 3w = 24; 32 weeks
