If a plant manufacturing carpet backing has a cylindrical tank that is 3 meters high and is 6 meters in diameter. What is the volume of the tank? Assume that 3.14 is the value for pi.

    H = 3 m, d = 6 m, so: r = 3 m;

    The volume of the tank is:

    V = r² π h = 3² · 3.14 · 3 = 9 · 3.14 · 3 = 27 · 3.14 = 84.78 m³
