Hello! To find out how many pounds of turnips Amanda bought, all you have to do is multiply fractions straight across. 3 7/8 in improper fraction form is 31/8 and 2 1/2 in improper fraction form is 5/2. 31/8 * 5/2 is 155/16 or 9 11/16 in mixed number form. There. Amanda bought 9 11/16 pounds of turnips.
