If Ralph plays 15 hours and 20 minutes of playing tennis per month all we need to do is multiply by 12.

    15 1/3*12/1

We need 15 1/3 an improper fraction soo 15*3+1 is 46.

    46/3*12/1

    552/3 Now to simplify.

    3 go into 552, 184 times.

So 184 hours he plays tennis a year.

    15 1/3 + 12/1 = 46/3 + 12/1 = ((46 * 1) + (12 * 3)) / (3 * 1) = (46 + 36) / 3 = 82/3 = 27 1/3 do you understand?
