A hardware stores mixes paint in a ratio of three parts blue to five parts yellow to make two gallons of lime green. A ration of seven parts blue to one part yellow makes two gallons of ocean blue. A gallon of lime green sells for $24, and a gallon of ocean blue sells for $20. Find the cost of 1 quart of blue and the cost of 1 quart of yellow paint ... ?

    7B+5Y=487B+1Y=40Subtracting Eqn 2 from 1 we get 4Y=8so Y = $2 and X=$38/7
