    First week, Devon's spent $12.99, $10.50, $9.89, $6.90 and $7.58

    Mean = (12.99 + 10.50 + 9.89 + 6.90 + 7.58) / 5

    Mean = 47.86/5

    Mean = 9.572

    Second week Devon spent $2 more for the total five lunches

    so, Mean = (47.86 + 2) / 5

    Mean = 9.972

    The increase in the mean for the second week compared to the first week is

    9.972 - 9.572
