    Answer: 40

    Step-by-step explanation:

NOTE: Let TV represent "Total Value of"

TV Pennies + TV Nickels + TV Dimes + TV Quarters = $8.00

since TV Pennies = TV Nickels = TV Dimes = TV Quarters

    then 4 (TV Nickels) = $8.00

⇒ TV Nickels = $2.00 divided both sides by 4

since a nickel has a value of $0.05,

then $0.05x = $2.00 "x" represents the quantity of nickels

    ⇒ x = 40 divided both sides by $0.05
