The slope of a line parallel to the graph of 4x-5y=12

    Take the coefficient in front of the x and divide it by the y coefficient and change the sign when written like this. IF the equations starts out "y = ", then just use what is in front of the x.

    This case 4/-5 = - 4/5 change sign 4/5
