To get the answer we have to find 8% of 2.89 and then add it to 2.89.

    So,

    8% of 2.89 its 0.08*2.89=0.23

    0.23+2.89=3.12$ - its the answer

Do $2.89*0.08 to get 0.231. then add $2.89+0.2312=3.1212. Round to get $3.12.

    p. s. you get 0.08 by turning 8% into a decmal
