    5 cm

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the length of pencil B be 2x cm. Then, A/Q

    the length of pencil A is (2x-11) cm and the length of pencil C is x cm.

    So,

    (2x-11) + 2x+x = 29, or

    5x = 40, or

    x = 8 cm.

    Now, the length of pencil A is given by (2x-11) cm and we know the value of x as 8 cm. Therefore, putting the value of x in Eq. (2x-11) cm, we get the length of pencil A as 5 cm.
