During a construction project, heavy rain filled construction cones with water. The diameter of a cone is 12 in. and the height is 27 in.

What is the volume of the water that filled one cone?

    Volume of a cone = πr^2 (h/3)

    r=6

    h=27

    v = π (6^2) 27/3

    v = π (36) (9)

    v = π324 in. cubed

    or

    v=1,017.36 in. cubed
