Solve by taking the square root of both sides 3 (x-1) ^2-162=0

    We know that: 3 (x-1) ^2-162=0

    or (x-1) ² = 162:3

    and (x-1) ² = 54

    we take the square root of both sides

    * x-1 = √54 = 3√6 or x=1+3√6

    * x-1 = - √54 = - 3√6 or x=1-3√6
