    To solve how high the stone will go we need to solve first in how many seconds will the stone hit the ground.

    This is the formula we will going to use;

    y (t) = - 16 (t) 2 + v0 (t) + y0

    y (t) = - 16 (t) 2 + 128 (t) + 0

    y (t) = - 16 (8) 2 + 128 (8) + 0

    t = 8 sec till it hits the ground

    To solve how high the stone will go we will use the formula;

    y' (t) = v (t) = - 128t + 128

    0 = - 128 + 128

    t = 1 sec to reach max

    -16 + 128 = 114 ft max
